Mitsubishi VS50607 Self Diagnosis 2-3

I've read All the boards can't really determine how to fix. Should I do this:MitsubishiDMRepairĀ  or this: SelfDiagnosis2-3. My TV has rolling horizontal lines in the picture and is blinking error code 2-3. I have the service manual, just need someone to point me in the right direction. What parts need to be replaced? And any tips or shortcuts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Thats a common symptom of when the power board capacitors fail. It will make the lamp light turn red and a self diagnosis 34 for lamp abnormality. Usually install the power board repair kit will solve that issue. Heres a link to the power board repair kit for your model. The kit contains the capacitors and detailed instructions.

Wont turn on

I'm not a tech but I read the self diagnostic repeats itself 5 times. That being said I think it is telling of a 2-2 problem. A result of 2-2 is a short protect problem. Hope that helps.

Where is the Dm board? Does anyone have a picture for this model

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the device and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source) 1. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR LEAKY C9A60 470 PF 1000 V PART # 154P400030, PARALLEL TO D9A57 ON THE POWER PCB. 2. SHUTDOWN AT POWER WITH SELF DIAGNOSIS ERROR 2 2. CHECK FOR OPEN FUSES F9A04 AND F9A05 PART # 283P043090 ON THE +24 AND -24 VOLT LINES. IF THE FUSES ARE OPEN THE CONVERGENCE OUTPUT CIRCUIT WOULD BE SUSPECT.

PROBLEM WITH MITSUBISHI WS 55411

I had the same problem with my model as well. Luckily, I had the extended warranty and a technician came out and said that many people with TVs of this model have the same problem. He replaced the main system board and the problem was fixed. It has been about 4 months now and the problem just came back again. My TV is out of warranty now, but I hope I can get a warranty on that newly replaced party which appears to have gone bad again.

It seems that you donot have the 200+ V line for the GREEN,BLUE. This line is the same as the read line, check connectors located on crt boards make sure they did not come apart. Also you can:This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems. To activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-2. Check for open fuses F9A04 and F9A05 part # 283P144080 on the +24 and -24 volt lines. If the fuses are open the convergence output circuit would be suspect. 2. Shutdown at power with self diagnosis error 2-1. At power on check for 12-volts DC at connector KH pin 8, if missing check IC9C51 part # 270P990010 and L9C52 part # 441D009020 on the Signal PCB
