Question about Epson Stylus Pro 4800 InkJet Printer
Suddenly today, after never before having any problem with this printer whatsoever, a strange banding pattern has appeared. I am printing in Advanced Black and White Mode on 81/2 x 11 Exhibition Fiber Paper from PhotoShop CS3 on a Dell computer running Windows XP Professional. The photograph is centered on the paper and is 10" high 6.5" wide and there appears a thick black line, about 1/16" wide all the wat from the left edge of the paper to about 1/2" from the right side of the paper where it cuts off. From The photograph is a vertical shot and the printer is set to Portrait Mode, opposed to Landscape. From the top of the sheet, the black line starts at about 1 1/2" down, and on the bottom of the shhet the 1/16" horizontal black line starts at about 5/8" up from the bottom. In between these two horizontal black lines, the photograph is printed, however there is a series of thin 1/32" black horizontal lines banded all the way from the top thick black line down to the bottom black line. I cleaned the print head multiple times, checked the alignment of the head and printed it out and it is fine......no gaps. Then I printed another sheet, and the problem persisted. I shut down the cpu and the printer and restarted everything...The problem persisted. I changed out the Light Black T5647 Cartridge, printed again and still the problem exists. At this point, I do not know what to do, or what the problem is. Any suggestions? I could scan a photograph with the problem and email it, if it would help. Thank you in advance. Brad firstname.lastname@example.org Thin horizontal black lines running the length of the photo - only in the photo area. I've tried cleaning, aligning, changing paper thickness. Nothing works. Clean the nozzles, align the print heads, turn it off for about an hour. You may need to do this twice, but it works for me.
