Question about Avaya Merlin Magix/Legend Control Units, Cards&Software: Merlin Magix 024 TDL Module (61804) Expansion Module
Hi, I have a Lucent Merlin Legend Control. I believe that the internal battery is dead because whenever I have to power down the system everything comes back up as if it were fresh out of the box. Everything resets! Is the battery located in the processor and if so is it reachable? I am pretty good with these kinda things so I am confident that I could replace it if I knew where it was and if it isn't some type of sealed/integrated thing. Thanks so much in advance!
The battery is on the proccessor but it is not replaceable. You need a flash backup card to save to and restore from. If the battery is dead it is either a very old system (which is okay) or there is something wrong that is putting a drain on the system. Try doing a backup before you shut it down and see if that can be restored
