Question about Gateway CX2618 Notebook
I recently took my laptop on a business trip when I returned I pluged in the laptop and now the screen is dark and blank. is there a trouble shooting I can do before i pay to have gateway fix it.
First test if it works on an external monitor. If it does you will need to clear the CMOS. To clear it:
remove the battery, unplug the cord, and hold the ON button down for 30-60 seconds. Then turn it on. Thats how you clear it on most laptops.
If it does not work on the external monitor, you probally have a bad video card and need to replace the old one
