My 16 GB Flash Drive won't function properly

The first thing I did when I got the drive was test it with H2TestW or something like that, followed by PassMark BurninTest. It failed both tests. It is a Kingston DataTraveler. I tried copying movies to it, and I could watch both of them, jumping to different parts of the movie until maybe a couple of minutes went by, then it stopped working and when I browsed the drive, all the files were corrupt. I have tried it on several different computers, and the one I viewed the movies on has just had a wipe and reinstall, so I'm confident it didn't have any problems... help?

The H2TestW test program gives failures. That means that there are serius errors. Which errors does H2TestW give?
Try to reformat the FlashDrive. If that fails too, the drive is faulty and should be replaced.

Check the USB on another PC and if this is not detected on any PC then the memory is corrupt.
In such a case there is not much unless the dealerships helps for a replacement.

Test your pen drive / USB sticks with H2testw

H2testw was developed to test USB sticks for various kinds of errors. It can also be used for any other storage media like memory cards, internal and external hard drives and even network volumes. The executable file H2testw.exe needs no installation and can be directly run. It was developed for Windows XP and Vista. It should also work under Windows 2000 but was only tested on XP and Vista. Windows 9x/ME is not supported. You can use the older command line program H2test under these operating systems. The function of H2testw is quite simple: It fills the chosen target directory with test data and then reads it back and verifies it. H2testw does not overwrite or erase any existing data. It doesn’t do any low-level tricks so administrator privileges are not required. If your hardware is working properly H2testw will not harm any existing data. You can download it from here

I lost all datas from my memory stick

Files on a flash drive can be corrupted if it is not removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon and then click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flash drive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the flash drive you may need to format the flash drive, but you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.
If you need the data on the flash drive these WEB sites may help: -

I have a cruzer micro 16Gb flash drive with 14.9Gb

Did you reformat as NTFS instead of the default FAT32? FAT32 can only transfer files up to 4.0Gb in size. If you reformat as NTFS, you can move larger files.

I bought a 16 gb touch pmp from china and it will not play music

Hi

if you detele all the music from the player and then put in 1 or 2 songs, then play those two songs? do they play?

If they play fine, put in more songs, its very likely that you have been sold a face capasity player, I got a 16GB player from china, it was actually 4GB, everything above 4GB would not play.

read this page, and test your player with the program:
