My 650 burgman started to heat up so i stopped and waitted until it got cold and checked the water level it was good. then i hitted the road it got overheated again although i am ridding at 130 km/hr then the F1 indicator turned on. i can not hear the fan working. how can i fix that??
Hi, I am currently working on the same problem. I have just bought a new "thermal switch" which attaches to the radiator, and tells the fan when it is needed. These are cheaper than the fan itself, and if the nice people on the forums are right, then the thermal switch is often the issue, more often than the fan. F1 is an indicator of the injection system malfunction, but can be a faulty sensor. I have a F1 light which comes on now and then. But if I turn the ignition off and on again it dissapears! ?? The previous owner said that the sensor was faulty. I am hoping that he was being honest. ?? ??

Ck fuses and wire connections first. If no problem seen, get bike running and disconnect the ground cable @ battery. If bike dies the problem generally is in the stator or regulator assembly not keeping battery charged. Bike will run untill the battery is too low to keep the ignition system energized and the bike will die. If it continues running w/the ground disconnected, the battery could have a dead cell which will drain the battery in a very short time whether it is running or not.

You just keep the plastic coolant reservoir on the full line
and the cooling system will take what it needs
and push out what it doesn't.
