Question about Kenmore 53582 / 53584 Side by Side Refrigerator
We have a Kenmore, tag model# 106.53582300. The ice maker stopped working over time - at one point, we were getting "hollow" ice-cube, which I think means water was trickling in too slowly. Now, no water is getting in at all. Checked the shut-off arm, it is in the down position. I disconnected the tube that goes from the valve at the bottom up to the ice maker and no water came through it, so I think the problem is that the valve won't open. I don't know where to go next, though. I'm thinking the valve could be jammed/clogged, but before I spend cash on a replacement, I want to make sure the valve is getting the signal to open/close, and that it's not an electrical or logic problem. I'm also assuming the valve isn't serviceable and can't be repaired. Any thoughts on my next step would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ok follow these steps to trouble shoot 1st remove white cover from front of ice maker there you can now see the module of the unit .that would be part number 35 on the parts list. 2nd get a 12 gauge insulated wire about 2 inches long and stripp the ends of it . insert it in the two holes in front with letter h and t live there for about 20 seconds now look at the forks inside are they moving if yes check fill tube for a plug of ice that wont let water fill the the ice maker if no they dont move repl that part 35 you can repl your self just disconnect unit remove the three bronze philip screws and pull out ahh but first remove wire harness so it will be easy to pull out ok thanks

Tips for a great answer:
maker not working: ---
Its the problem of water inlet valve. It's a
dual valve. This valve has two tubes in it. One for water dispenser and one
for ice maker chamber. The one side of valve is working, but other side of the
valve is not working. The valve is got stuck in one position
