Question about Lowrance X96 200khz Fishfinder
X96 works fine when first start and near shore. When go past 20-30 feet depth the unit displays 3 feet until you return to 5-10 feet of water when it starts working propoerly again. Unit worked fine on first trip and had no issues even in 150 feet of water.
Your transducer needs to be adjusted so the return signal can be picked up. Some of these have to be super tuned to receive the signal. Also the transducer may be moving ever so slightly when the boat is traveling at speed. You may have some water turbulence interference all contibute to signal return.
