Problem for Dell Inspiron 6000 PC Notebook
My Dell vostro 1710 usb slots are not working

it will not recogonize anything that gets plugged into the usb slots, my printer etc. its like they are no longer functional. It also quit letting me go online via wifi so now im having to plug into the modem cable. My USB slots aren't working all 5 of them its like there not functional

Hi there.
It sounds like the bios may have become corrupt knocking them and the WiFi out.
Go here to dell support and download the bios (it has to be on the machine that's faulty) make sure the laptop is plugged in to the mains power when you update the bios >>>>>>>>

Hopefully the USB's and the WiFi will come back to life again.
