E65 does not transmit my voice. My microphone not working. Makes and receives calls perfectly, but they cannot hear me on the other end. Tried to record a voice note, and complete mute sound. Is there a function on the phone that completely mutes it? Any way to enable it? Thanks. I have had my Nokia E65 for just over a year now and recently during ongoing conversations, I can hear the other person but they cannot hear me- its happening more often now, what can I do?

Re: Nokia E65 microphone doesn't work
Hi thanks for using fixya!!
Did you accidentally dropped the Nokia E65? Well, on this error, you shoudl bring your unit to a service center to further check the hardware error such as the microphone. However, be sure that whenever you make calls you have the network signal high so that you can have quality voice calls.

when everyone can hear your voice while you can hear their voice during making a call, it seems the problem is in your microphone, it means you have to oven the phone cover at all, find the microphone that use to located in thr bottom of the motherboard, try to clean the circuit of the microphone, or replace with a new microphone..for a while you can use a headset or nokia earphone that similar with your model.
Thank you for your question. The microphone broadcasts to an FM radio at 100.1 MHZ. I would suggest you tune your radio to 100.1 MHZ. While holding down the microphones Vox button, take a small screwdriver and slowly adjust a small screw by the battery compartment on the microphone until you hear your voice over the radio. Adjusting the screw changes the transmit frequency on the microphone.
I hope this helps. I would appreciate your taking a second to rate my assistance below this posting. I look forward to hearing your voice over the radio as you work your way to the top of the music charts! :0)
You need to call your phone company. They need to replace or exchange your phone, or you need to buy a new phone. If you haven't had the phone for long though you should call your phone company from a different phone to have them send you out a new one, or visit a phone store near you to buy or exchange you phone out for a new one. Good Luck!
