How are you attempting to turn tracking mode off? What kind of feedback do you get you try. According to MS article: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word/H...

Turn off change trackingWhen you turn off change tracking, you can revise the document without marking what has changed. Turning off the Track Changes feature does not remove any changes that have already been tracked.
Important To remove tracked changes, use the Accept and Reject commands on the Review tab in the Changes group.

    • On the Review tab, in the Tracking group, click the Track Changes image. To add a track changes indicator to the status bar, right-click the status bar and click Track Changes. Click the Track Changes indicator on the status bar to turn track changes on or off.

Apparently the track changes indicator on the status bar is not working as a "toggle" and just keeps tracking on ....

Is it possible that "Track Changes" is still on? Look on the Review tab of the Ribbon. Make sure Track Changes is off. Then make sure the Display for Review is set to "Final", and try saving and reopening your document. That should work. If not, your last option is to save with a new name, Accept or Reject all review changes, and then save and reopen, etc.

Hello. 1. Select the characters that you would like to be on subscript. Go to Format menu and Click Font, from the Font tab you have to select subscript, and click OK; or alternatively you may use the shortcut key CTRL + +(plus sign) for subscript; 2. From the tools menu, click on "track changes". you will see a vertical line on the left margin of your document. Just scroll on the document and you will see how and when the text was edited by whom. You can use the options on the "reviewing toolbar" to either accept or reject the changes made on the document.

How doI get rid of track changes when editing a

There are various ways to hide the tracked changes or comments — butall the changes that were made while the Track Changes feature wasturned on and all the comments that were inserted remain part of thedocument until they are accepted or rejected (or, in the case ofcomments, deleted).

Word 2007 provides a feature called Document Inspector thatallows you to check any document for tracked changes, comments, hiddentext, and other personal information. To check a document:
  1. Open the document you want to inspect for tracked changes and comments.
  2. Click the Microsoft Office Button default.aspx?assetid=za100771021033, point to Prepare, and then click Inspect Document.
  3. In the Document Inspector dialog box, click Inspect.
  4. Review the inspection results. If Document Inspector finds comments and tracked changes, you are prompted to click Remove All next to Comments, Revisions, Versions, and Annotations.
  5. Click Reinspect or Close.

To get rid of tracked changes and comments, you need to accept or reject the changes and delete the comments. Here's how:
  1. On the Review tab, in the Tracking group, click the arrow next to Show Markup.default.aspx?assetid=za102097011033
  2. Make sure a check mark appears next to each of the following items:
    • Comments
    • Ink Annotations
    • Insertions and Deletions
    • Formatting
    • Reviewers (Point to Reviewers and make sure that All Reviewers is selected.)
If a check mark does not appear next to an item, click the item to select it.
  3. On the Review tab, in the Changes group, click Next or Previous.default.aspx?assetid=za101539421033
  4. Do one of the following:
    • In the Changes group, click Accept.
    • In the Changes group, click Reject.
    • In the Comments group, click Delete.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all the tracked changes in the documenthave been accepted or rejected and all the comments have been deleted.
Notes
  • If you know that you want to accept all the changes, click Accept, and then click Accept All Changes in Document.
  • If you know that you want to reject all the changes, click Reject, and then click Reject All Changes in Document.
  • To remove all comments, you must delete them. In the Comments group, click the arrow next to Delete, and then click Delete All Comments in Document.

Receiving faxed

when the machine goes into energy save mode it will still receive faxes. (energy save is a low power mode the copier is still on and can accept faxes, print jobs and copy jobs)

however if the machine goes to auto shut off it will not.
(auto shut off will after a set amount of time turn the power switch on the copier to the off position and the copier can not be used until it is turned back on.)

you need to turn the copier off, hold down 0 & 8 and turn on then type in 206 press start, key in 20 press set then turn the copier off and back on. this will make sure that auto power off is not enabled.

i hope this helps you.

Hi, Remote Fax Error being displayed

As some fax machines are not capable of receiving color faxes, legal size faxes, or faxes at 200x200 dpi resolution, make sure you are sending an A4 or letter size (not legal size) page at standard resolution:
Press the Black button for a black-and-white fax. Press the Quality button to check the selected resolution.
Make sure the All-In-One has enough memory free when you want to save the scanned documents into memory before sending the fax. Please refer to the following document: Click here to link to the relevant document.
Note: The scanned documents will only be saved in the memory before the whole fax is sent if the Scan Before Dial option is turned on. (This is the factory default.) Up to 50 black-and-white fax pages can be stored in memory at standard resolution when there are no pending faxes in the queue.
Turn off the Scan Before Dial option by pressing the following keys on the operator panel:
Press the Fax button, then press Options 15 times to get to ADVANCED FAX mode.
Press Select.
Press Options nine times until SCAN BEFORE DIAL appears on the LCD display.
Change the setting from Yes to No using the + (right arrow) button.
Press Select.
Note: The Scan Before Dial option controls whether a document is scanned before a call is dialed. This parameter only applies to a mono fax that uses either 200x100 or 200x200 resolution. Higher resolution mono faxes and all color faxes are scanned after the call is dialed and the receiving machine's capabilities are known.
Lower the fax transmission speed to 14400 or even 9600 bps, as some older fax machines are not capable of receiving a fax at a high speed. To do so:
Press the Fax button, then press Options 15 times to get to ADVANCED FAX.
Press Select.
Press Options 10 times until MAX SEND SPEED appears on the LCD display.
Change it to 9600 BPS using the - (left arrow) button.
Press Select.
Turn off ECM (Error Correction Mode) by pressing the following keys on the operator panel:
Press the Fax button, then press Options 15 times to get to ADVANCED FAX.
Press Select.
Press Options 11 times until ERROR CORRECTION appears on the LCD display.
Change the setting from On to Off using the + (right arrow) button.
Press Select.
Note: Turning off this option makes it possible to receive a fax when the receiver fax machine does not support certain error correction modes. The X6100 Series only supports 1-D MH encoding with the error correction. Fax transmissions without ECM and other ECM types can result in bad quality on the received page.
