Try to purchase a CD disc cleaner, sometimes the "eye" gets partials of dirt on the lens. If that's the problem the cleaner will fix it in no time.

Your CD may not be music CD. Some car radio doesn't accept MP3 or WMV files. Change it to a good radio such as JVC car radio.

Not clear on how to search and store radio frequencies manually in my Kenwood kdc-bt6544u car audio player. can i jump to a specific time in audio or do i have to hold the FF or RW till i get there? not...

Some makers are different.Usually if you hold down the search button long enough,it will switch to autosearch. There should be numbered buttons on the face of the stereo too right?Tune in to the channel you want to preset, press and hold down the number you want it to be.The sound will probably cut out for a couple of seconds, then when it comes back on the channel is preset.Once you set 6 on FM,if you press the band button again,it should give you the capability of presetting 6 more.If it goes to AM just press band once more and it will give you 6 new FM.Usually current radios give 6 AM possible, and 3 separate bands of FM for a total of 18 FM possible.Good luck! If the dealer already looked at this then your going to have to go by thier recommendations or go to a car audio installation shop. They may have more insight than the dealer. As far as getting the disks out once the unit is out of the car it can always be taken apart to remove the disks.

CD Player won't read disc's. ERROR message

Well if the unit came with car over 10 years old, u can't clean it might have to just replace. buying a new one will cost as much as trying to fix that one.

Kenwood deck cd eject problem

Actually, yes! That could very well damage any unit without a protection mode. Unfortunately, in my long time experience in car audio, a deck that spits cd's out has a damaged or misaligned laser lens. This could be caused by driving to fast through pot holes, speedbumps, or going down train tracks. Find an electronics repair shop locally to see if having it repaired will out weigh a new deck. I found one new in box on ebay for $89 + shipping.

Brand New Unit Will Not Accept ANY Type of CD

I am having the same problem but only with a KDC-MP335 unit. I installed it in a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee to the stock system, pretty easy install just matching colors for wires and everything works (Radio). but not one CD plays. it says reading and it acts as if it is playing the tracks but no sound... what is going on? did I mess up wiring it or something?
