Question about Dell Inspiron 1000 Notebook
Hi, do youknow how to trouble shoot the keyboard of my laptop? the laptop always sensed that it's F1, F2, F3, and F4 keys are being used/pressed from time to time even though im not pressing it. how can i fix this problem.
There is a possibility that the keyboard is degrading and may need replacing which is not un-common, or the keys maybe sticking due to hair, biscuit crumbs, dust etc which is lodged under the keys.
The best way to check is to turn the laptop off, turn it on its side with the lid open, get a soft, clean paintbrush and clean the keys gently tapping on the keyboard to knock out the foreign objects.
If you still suffer the same symptoms then it will be the keyboard that needs to be replaced.
If you still have warranty, take advantage of that and send it to be repaired for free.
Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!
