Question about Ricoh Aficio SP C410DN Laser Printer

Ricoh C410DN set the toner cartridge correctly

Replaced yellow cartridge and error message at startup of "set the toner cartridge corretly - yellow". Tried resetting and unplugging with no change. Any suggestions

    I have the same problem too. I refilled the cartridge, and the top is not too fasten now. I locked it in position using some tape.
    The chip are all in place , but the cyan one has a problem, since it generates the error "set the toner cartridge corretly - cyan".
    No way I can get out of this.
    HELP!

If you look at one of the other colors you can see how the toner cart door slides under some plastic to open it. I bet the yellow one is broke. Tape a folded piece of paper to the end of the cartridge. That might hold it down so it will work.

When placing the cartridge (facing the front of the printer) put in the left side first as you lower the right side and tighten it PUSH IT TO THE RIGHT. I suppose that unless you push it to the right the contacts are going to be misaligned.

If the message Replace Print Cartridge remains, it means that it is not the correct toner cartridge, replace it with the correct one. If Reset Print Cartridge message appears after correct replacement, it means that the toner cartridge is not set correctly or not installed. Set the toner cartridge correctly. If the cartridge is installed, close the front cover and turn the power switch to off and to on. If the message appears again, contact your sales or service representative.

Why is it indicating black toner is empty?


[Cause]
This may be caused by the Toner ID switch, that contacts the ID PWB on the Toner Bottle. The Toner ID switch has 4 wire contacts, if one of the contacts become crossed over this error may occur.

[Action]
Uncross and straighten the contacts.
If issue remains replace ID Chip Connector Harness [Part Number: G102 1120].

I have a ricoh c410dn and it has an sc364 error.


sc364 is a black toner density error. Typically, replacing the black PCU will get rid of the error message.

Hi, the chip on those toner bottles stores information about how much toner is left, so once that chip registers an empty toner bottle, it won't work even if you attach it to a new toner bottle. You'll need the chip from a new toner bottle, or one that hasn't registered no toner.

Ricoh Aficio SP C410DN toner error.


Did you follow the instuctions to shake gently then remove all tags prior to placing the toner? Is it a toner/drum unit. look underneath if theres a green drum. After market toner will not work.

It sounds like the part the toner bottle slides under to lock in place is broken. you could try and fold some paper and tape it to the toner to hold it down.
