sorry btw its a Jensen XCH6RF

It should have an fm transmitter that has 3 options (more or less) beginning with 88.5, 88.7, 88.9, etc. pick any one of the three and turn on the cd changer. If it works properly then you should be able to hear your music. The one you pick should correspond with the channel frequency of the radio or head unit.

How do I fix the factory radio-antenna situation where I have no AM radio, when FM works fine?

If you pick up FM. It isn't the antenna. It's an internal radio problem.

I get a picture but no sound. I bought the car with the dvd player already installed but no directions.

Hopefully you have a remote control for this unit. There is a FM select button. It's to turn on the FM modulator. When you press the button it will select different radio stations on the FM band. Once you select a station on the DVD, tune your vehicle radio station to the same and you will be able to hear the sound. Use this system to select the station with the best reception and less interference.
If no remote is available, there may be a FM button on the DVD player to perform the same function.

In my settings there is no fm transmitter selection available

As far as I know, there is no transmitter in a Sirius Radio. I had an XM, and there was no selection for fm stations. They just figure you can tune the car radio to any fm station, in case you want to listen to fm. Hope this helps, but refer to your manual for details about what the unit can do.

I have just bought a 1986 mercedes which has the original radio in it. im not sure what make of radio it is, but on the cassette player it says becker pacific electronics it has 4 buttons to put radio...

Becker in the past has worked with two methods: 1) Select station, pull the button out (pull, not yank) and press it back in, or, 2) Tune station, press the button in for 5 sec. Depending on the model, when you switch between am and fm , the same button stores also the station in the alternate band.

I have a 6 CD Changer but dont know how to use it?

This is an older way that makers of CD changers used to get CDs into cars that didn't have them.  This is what they tried to get people to by them.  I was never a fan of this system as the sound quality was never better than listening to FM radio.  There is a unit in the car, usually under the dash behind the glove box, that the CD changer is plugged into.  This unit has the FM antenna from the car plugged into it, and then a cable that is the same as that coming from the antenna going from the unit under the dash plugged into the FM antenna jack of the radio in the dash.  All this unit does is take the digital, high quality sound from the CDs, transmit it on an FM frequency (usually low on the FM band 80s, 90s or low 100s) and then you tune the radio into that FM frequency to get the sound form the CDs.  Problem is, the sound quality was only as good as FM radio.  A pretty poor way of getting CDs into cars.  But they sold millions of these things.  If it isn't working, the wiring may have come loose, the fuse to the unit under the dash might be blown, or something is disconnected.  if you go all through the FM dial, 0.1 at a time and don't hear it, it is time to get under the dash near the glove box and poke around.  Good luck.  If it were me, I would take all this gear out and put a new CD/MP3 player where the factory radio currently sits.

Pioneer DEH 1900 MP receiver - cannot pick up AM stations

normally the problem you are describing means that your antenna is bad. typically, if you have no am good fm bad antenna if you had good am and no fm the fm section of your radio would be bad.

you can test this but you will need an antenna (this can be purchased at most car parts stores for about $10.00) pull out the radio unplug the black round plug from the back of the radio and plug in the new one ( the antenna plug is a universal fit) you will probably need to ground the base of the antenna for the test then turn your radio I'm sure this will fix your problem but if not you can e-mail me at

good luck'
