Re: I can hear but cannot be heard.

I have an actual solution... I went to motorola site and found this...

Have questions about your cell phone/mobile device or Bluetooth headset?

Our Call Centers are open from Monday through Friday from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00pm; Saturday and Sunday 9.00 a.m. To 6.00 p.m. (CST)

Please call Motorola customer service at: 1-800-331-6456

When I called I did a quick song and dance with the auto system (just say agent and it goes away) and explained to a "foreign" sounding gentleman what my issue was and after wasting about 5 minutes of my time attempting to get it to work he said they (Motorola) was going to upgrade my headset to the H710 for free. According to him I should have my new headset in less than a week. We shall see.

Re: I can hear but cannot be heard.

I have the same problem... discovered that one of the two wires that is connected to the microphone dislodged. I don't know where it connects to now so I'm SOL also.

I could hear the person I call, but the person cannot hear me

Ensure you haven't muted your call. Press both volume buttons. If this doesn't work there may be a problem with your microphone. Also ensure your boom is fully extended.

Can't hear the other person

If your devices are not Paired then:

The other person has to set their Bluetooth "visibility"
to SHOWN TO ALL. They may be set to HIDDEN.

Yours is set to be "visible to all" so others can hear you.

Their mobile has to be set the same way .
I hope this helps.

Does it have a mute button because person on phone cannot hear me but I can hear them.

Tap both volume buttons to mute/unmut. If that does not solve it i have heard many accounts of these headsets having back mic's.

I hear the person clearly, they cannot hear me.

I recently had this same problem with my Motorola H710 Bluetooth & my Samsung SGH-A737. I could hear the people on my Bluetooth, and they couldn't hear me. It wasn't muted. I tried turning both the phone & the bluetooth off, then back on, first one, then the other, then vice versa; nothing worked.

Finally I deleted the H710 from my phone & reinstalled it. This fixed the problem.

To do this, navigate your phone's menu looking for the Bluetooth/Connections portion (every phone is different); select the bluetooth, then delete it from your phone.

To reinstall it, turn the bluetooth off. Then go back to your phone's menu and look for the equivalent of "Search For New Devices"; then, turn on the bluetooth. When your phone finds it, select it. The phone will ask you to input the pin. If it's the Motorola H710, the default pin should be four zeroes: "0000". I have heard this is the same for other Motorola's as well, but I can't say for sure. If you have another brand of bluetooth, either get out the manual and/or box (which should have the pin in it somewhere), or else get online and Google the model number and the word "pin"; you'll probably find it.

After I reinstalled it, it worked like a charm.

Headset transmits wave

If you are hearing it on the speakers then it is possible the other computer's problem. If you are hearing it though the headset it could be a headset problem. Check your settings and try talking to a bunch of other people to assess the situation.

GN Netcom GN 9120 - can't hear

Hi There, I had the same problem with a headset one of our call centre reps were using. It's usually due to some one fiddling with the button. I got it working by removing the battery from the headset then resinked the headset to the base unit. Hope it works for you

H700 problem with Blackberry 7130

It just so happens that I almost bought this headset, but decided not to after reading some reviews. Apparently when paired with the blackberry, the headset doesn't like to function too well. It has a severe problem with distance. Even clothing in the way of the phone and headset can cause static. I've heard some reviewers say they cannot even have the phone and headset on opposite sides of their body because it perfers to have 'line of sight' with the phone. Do some tests by connecting the headset with the phone while they are very close together, almost touching. Once it's initialized, try to keep your phone in a pocket/on your belt on the same side of your body as the phone. I have not heard why these two products work so terribly together, but the problem does not seem to point to the headset or the blackberry, but the combination of the two.
