I want to download a suitable driver for my unknown graphics card

Here is your video card for your laptop:
Intel HD Graphics
memory amount : up to 997 MB shared memory from 2 GB system memory installed, (with pre-installed 64-bit operating system)memory type : shared

You need to go to intel's website to download those drivers.

But you need to find out which intel graphics card you have.

To do this you need to download a program called "Unknown Devices"

The use of this program gives valuable information that you can use to search for the model of the graphics card your Laptop has.

We know it's an Intel HD Graphics adapter but we don't know which model. This program can give you more information even the model in some cases. At the very least it will give you a hardware ID which is very important to use to search for the appropriate drivers.

If you right click on your "unknown device" in this case your graphics card. It will show you the menu you see in the screenshot, Click "Search web for Selected Line"

This will search based on Hardware ID of the device, and give you your best chances for finding the driver.

If I bet money on it... You will find the driver from www.intel.com. Otherwise, windows update is an alternative option.

Let me know if this solution works out for you.... If it does not, I can further show you how to get windows update to locate the driver for your laptop.

Depends on the make/model of your motherboard and/or graphics card.
If you have a graphics card go to the manufacturer's web site and get drivers for Win7
If the graphics is built in to the motherboard, go to the mobo manufacturers web site for drivers.

If you examine the graphics card closely you may be able to seel the model number and then you can go to the ASUS WEB site to download the video driver for that graphice card.
If you cannot see a model number then you can use one of these WEB sites that detect automatically what drivers your computer needs and then downloads and installs them.

Download and install Speccy from http://filehippo.com/. This app will allow you to find out individual devices on your system. Let me know if you additional assistance

The NV tells me this is an nVidia product.
nVidia graphics card model NV84GT with 1GB of onboard VRAM
The PCI means it is compatible with a PCI slot on motherboard.
Go to NVIDIA website and search for a driver for this card.
It should download as a compressed installer file which you would have to run to install.

Why did you end the session? I think I have figured out what the problem is. Your chipset driver is not installed. Thats why you dont have sound as well and its having problems detecting your graphics card. Please let me know the make and model of your motherboard so that I can get you your chipset driver first. Once thats done you can download and install the Graphics card driver and resolve this issue.

Hello, You need to find out what model you Nvidia is.(look in your manual or look for it under or on top of, your laptop, its a taq)
then go here and choose your graphic card.

download and install.

It should be helpful if you gave me the exact model of your computer.

First of all, find out the name and model of your soundcard, graphic card and even you motherboard, then go to the manufactures site, then find your model and the drivers for you OS, download the drivers and install them.

Any graphic card sold on the market comes with drivers otherwise the card would be useless. Did you check the website of ATI for drivers?
