Hi,
Just purchased a brother all in one printer/fax/scanner. My fax is hooked into my phone jack thru my ether net connection. Is this correct? Or, do I need to go to my direct telephone line? And, I have digital phone, will fax still work? And is my fax number my phone number? I know, us newbies! Thanks ANY information will be a great help!

Must have DSL filter attached before fax, not sure how you are saying you have it setup, but phone line should come from wall then to filter then to fax socket marked line, phone should be hooked to socket on fax marked EXT, if you dont have dedicated fax line then fax number will be same as phone no.
If you have Adsl then there will be a lead from wall that splits into two, one goes to your modem (ADSL) and the other marke phone or line needs to go to fax socket marked LINE
