I think your remote control can help you with that. You can switch to PAL or NTSC depending on what will work best. What do you think?

How can get a channel for a kogan tv from australia brought to philippines?

You might not be able to do this. Broadcast TV signaling standards vary by the region in which they are from; there are a few. NTSC and PAL. If your TV signal amplifier system is for NTSC broadcast standards but your incoming signal is from a PAL standard or vice versa; you will not able to view that channel. Refer to your manual for what TV broadcast system it is compatible with. Some TV's system setting can be changed.

I am burning a movie to a disc to play on this machine and I'm not sure which format to burn it in, PAL or NTSC?

CHECK WHERE YOU LOCATED FROM THIS MAP. FOLLOW THE LEGEND

NTSC, named for the National Television System Committee, is theanalog television system used in most of North America, most ofSouth America (except Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and French Guiana), Burma, South Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Philippines, and some Pacific island nations and territories (see map). NTSC is also the name of the U.S. standardization body that developed the broadcast standard.[1] The first NTSC standard was developed in 1941 and had no provision for color television.

Topcon lcd tv system settings problem from pal to ntsc problem.i am located in the philippines. thanks

you're not quite clear as to what your problem is. if your unit is a european model the easiest way is to use an external NTSC to PAL converter which would enable you to view phil programs on your PAL TV. Prce range from P4000.00 to P150,000.00. Or you can have a competent technician modify your TV hardware which would depend on the availability of part. In the past, during the advent of OFWs going to the middle east, you would spend like P2500.00 for conversion, parts and labor. Parts may still be available in raon, mnla. It is not feasible nowadays, though, as of course you already would probably know that you can buy surplus tvs for as low as P2000.00 for the 29" types in cubao or pier. Used LCD tvs or montors are also available cheap, from P1500.00 to P3000.00. If your unit is a PAL/NTSC selectable, then you're probably better off using it as a monitor as parts for the circuitry of the color system select may not be available since they are usually part of a VLSI IC.

There are currently 3 main television standards used throughout the world:

NTSC - National Television Standards Committee. The oldest existing standard, developed in the USA. First used in 1954. Consists of 525 horizontal lines of display and 60 vertical lines. Sometimes irreverently referred to as "Never Twice the Same Color." Only one type exists, known as NTSC M.
Here is a list of TV STANDAREDS I had for a while and can finally share it with someone. GOOD LUCK!!!! TECHMAN

SECAM - Système électronique pour Couleur avec Mémoire. Developed in France. First used in 1967. A 625-line vertical, 50-line horizontal display. Sometimes referred to by wags as "Something Essentially Contrary to the American Method" or SEcond Colour Always Magenta!" Different types use different video bandwidth and audio carrier specs. Types B and D usually used for VHF; types G, H, and K for UHF; types I, N, M, K1 and L for both VHF/UHF. Different types are generally not compatible.

PAL - Phase Alternating Line. Developed by German engineer Walter Bruch and the German electronic corporation Telefunken. Walter Bruch
patented his invention 1963 and the first commercial application of the PAL system was in August 1967. Also a 625/50-line display and variant of NTSC. Proponents call it "Perfection At Last." Due to the cost of the enormous circuit complexity, critics often refer to it as "Pay A Lot". Different types use different video bandwidth and audio carrier specs. Common types are B, G and H; less common types include D, I, K, N and M. The different types are generally not compatible.

Rf signal pal to ntsc

there should be an option in your picture settings menu

Black & white resolution

good day,

Possible reason would be Video system compatability. In PHI most of the screen are NTSC compliant for video sytem and for Qatar im not sure if its PAL or PAL SECAM system. But no worries, the only thing you need to do is change the video setting of your DVD player. do you have the owner manual of your player? if do so, check for the part reffering to video system. access that menu and one part of that selection would be the video out system, there should be a selection to choose from PAL/NTSC and auto. just select "Auto" or "NTSC"

cheers,
mark
