DVD is not working

It could be a number of things first make sure it is infact a DVD drive. I know it sounds funny but stranger things have happened. Next what program are you using to play the DVDs on. Windows media player will not play DVDs without installing additional software. Cyberlink DVD player is a good one to try or any free DVD player off the net. Another good choice is divx.com and download their free software and see if it works..
