Hello sir,madam i ve a prepaid bsnl n my model is nokia 5800 been tryin to activate gprs in my cell,its not getting activated everytime i call customer care they say do that do this but nothing works out... first i had sent GPRS PRE TO 53733 then i had to send NOKIA 5800 ,i got a message like trusted server settings recieved but authentication failed and the message was deleted and i dont know wat to do know so plzz suggest me something how can i activate gprs in my cell

NOKIA 5800 TO 58355 The sms you have sent is right.Sometimes it may occur due network problem so in my comment please repeat the procedure.Good luck

But before configuring, you need to get GPRS services activated for your mobile.Earlier this year BSNL has activated GPRS on all prepaid mobiles.So you just need to configure your mobile and go surfing.Postpaid users will need to activate it as there are different plans for postpaid users.However, in case GPRS in not activated by default in your area, you can activate it by sending an SMS as follows,depending on what type of user you are.

BSNL PREPAID:

SMS GPRSPRE to 53733 .It can take 24 hrs to get activated and you will get a confirmation message after activation.

BSNL POSTPAID:



After you decide on the plan SMS GPRS49 or GPRS199 to 53733.It can take 24 hrs to get activated and you will get a confirmation message after activation.

Configuration settings for GPRS access:

After your activation is done you need to configure your mobile to get GPRS data.You have to send a message to 58355 which contains your mobile model.For example-If you have a Nokia 5800 ,SMS "Nokia N5800? to 58355.
Soon you will get WAP,Portal,GPRS and MMS settings from BSNL.Save them all to your mobile.Use either WAP or GPRS as your default access point if your mobile asks for it.

you need to call BSNL customer care number 9400024365 ask them to activate GPRS on your phone number, after they send you GPRS setting save on your phone then enjoy using GPRS facility on your phone

SIR I HAVE GOT NOKIA 58OO.. AND ACTIVATED GPRS ALSO.... GOT SETTINGS FROM BSNL PEOPLE... BUT STILL MY PHONE IS NOT CONNECTING TO THE WEB... EVERY TIME IT SHOWS CONNECTION NOT AVAILABLE, AND UNABLE TO PERFORM OPERATION.....EARLIER IT WAS SHOWING PACKED DATA UNAVAILABLE.... IF I CONTACT BSNL PEOPLE THEY TELL GPRS ACTIVATED....
