they are not hard to put on, but can be tricky if you have never seen a dryer belt set up. before buying a new belt, open the door and try to turn the drum by hand, if there is little or no resistance it is definatly the belt. or better yet pull the front panel off to visually see if the belt is broken or just has come undone. instructions for most dryers. if lint trap is ontop - remove remove 2 screws at lint trap if lint trap in door use flat blade screwdriver or putty knife to locate and push in clips that hold the top in to open the lid. like a hood of a car wow.. this will be long, much easier if i get the model top mount control or front, same as where the lint trap is located

Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.
Note: It is recommended by most dryer manufacturers to replace a hi-limit thermostat when replacing a thermal fuse.
