I have the exact same problem. I've pushed FN and F6 at the same time and the first time I did it downloaded something, but each time thereafter when I push those two buttons together I get nothing. When I try using the troubleshooting feature it tells me everthing is working fine and that there are no problems. Help!!

Im not sure about the compatibility of the webcam in windows 7 OS. try to google if there is a driver for your webcam for windows 7. you might want to try to download the driver for Vista try to see if that works.

I doubt if your manufacturer will support you with this one since you changed your OS.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Have msi u 100 plus and had built in webcam...?now,all of a sudden the cam is gone it says cant detect cam?

Yes. MSI U100 Plus had built in camera, and this device uses the native driver bundled in operating system. There are two possibilities can cause this, problem with camera itself or problem with your operating system...

How to activate my built in msi notebook webcam???

Hi,

it should work, when you launch some software, that uses your webcam (for example Skype).

First thing, make sure all drivers are installed - they should be if you didn't change the system.

Good day, install window 7 to my laptop and since then i can't access my webcam

I checked the support sites out and unfortunatly it says all drivers are on a backup partition on your hard drive. Most drivers are available from the msi website I'm fairly certain that the 4211C is a rebadged MSI Wind U100 (it should have this printed on the underside of the netbook). If this is correct then you can also get the drivers, along with the user manual, from the MSI Europe website.
http://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=proddesc&maincat_no=135&cat2_no=582&prod_no=1474
But it says the webcam drivers are built into the OS, so if you have changed the OS you are out of luck

MSI U100 :S

I believe holding down the Fn button (on the bottom left of the keyboard) and F6 turns the webcam off and on. If it is off, it won't be seen by windows at all. Just hit Fn and F6 at the same time and you should be all set. The F6 key even has a small picture of what should be a webcam.

Good luck!

U100 msi wind netbook, webcam problems

You should be able to start the device with a default windows driver. Open windows explorer. Look at the left FOLDER pane. Under My Computer you should see USB Video device. Select it to start the webcam with default drivers. This confirms the device as working. Now, loading the correct drivers will give proper resolutions and other device-specific features of the device.

Built in webcamera driver for msi u100

Hello.

Your problem is not the drivers. The msi u100 webcam is supported by the operating system without the need for installing drivers for it.

Instead, turn it on by pressing and holding the Fn key (bottom left corner) and then pressing F6.

Cheers
