Question about Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6600SBT Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Fault Hey there, I purchased a new top load cabrio about a year ago, and about 3 months later, I started to get a fault during the wash cycle. It will be running fine, then it will shut down, and flash ( F 51 ). It always does it when it gets down to 34 min on the timer. In the begining , it wasnt every load, but now it is everytime. I lost my manual, so if you could let me hear from you, I would appreciate it. Thank You, Brian

My new whirlpool cabrio washing machine makes a grinding sound washing cycles. started on first load

Call the people you bought it from and make them bring you a new one. They sold you a lemon. It's not their fault, but don't try fixing it yourself. it was broken when you got it, and they will more than likely try to blame you.

F1 flashes on my maytag bravo washer

This is an inherent problem with this Whirlpool-made top load washer and at first it is believed to be a machine/motor control fault. But it was found later that it can be due issues associated with the pressure transducer/switch system. Air leaks and moisture in the pressure hose including lints or flashing in the air dome can lead to signal error being sent to the machine/motor control assembly and it is interpreted as a machine/motor control fault. You may also observe that the fault code F1 appears usually during water filling at the start of the wash cycle and/or at the start of the rinse cycles.

Check the pressure hose for air leaks and moisture including the air dome. Replace the machine/motor control assembly if no issue is found with the pressure hose and the air dome. Click on the link below for the troubleshooting and repair instruction details.

Lool on this site for F1 fault. Apparently a very known problem, seems with control pcb. I called Whirpool today on a machine purchased in 4/07 with a 4 year extended warrenty from Lowes, and they didn't even question it. Said a repairman would be out to replace part and parts and labor are covered by Whirpool. Call them at their 1800 #, Mention it's the infamous F1 fault, have model and seriel # at rear of top load door ready for the technical help person, and they'll take care of it.

Load Fault (LF) during wash cycle after moving washer, never happened before move... what is going on.???

This is not a load fault it is Long Fill fault.
This happens when the water level does not change for a period of time after the valves are turned on OR water has disengaged the basket but control does not detect a water level change.
Please check the following things
water supply connected and turned on?
hose screens plugged?
water entering the tub? If so check pressure hose connection to machine/motor control.
Thank You

Whirlpool Cabrio WTW6700TW1 that is making a banging noise

The Cabrio unfortunately has many problems. Your problem however is the four suspension rods. If you know someone who is handy it's not that bad to do yourself. Just need a little patience. There are two clips just between the top panel and the front panel. Use a screw driver and a flashlight to see the clips. Then using the screw driver, push in on the clips to lift the entire top panel. This can be difficult. Once open you should be able to see the four rods that support the tub. That's what you need. Hope this helps...
