Question about Acer Computers & Internet
Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 5052 AWXMi (minus the webcam version) from july 2007. Recently the battery ran outta power fast and since then my computer has been acting haywire, mouse arrow not movin smoothly, unable 2 type words n so on in normal mode. However dere r no probs in Safe Mode. Also the Battery icon shows deres no charge although the Battery LCD is green. Kindly advise.
You say that the computer works in safe mode. This indicates that there is probably something running that is interfering with your mouse and keyboard.
Run MSCONFIG from the command line and go to the startup tab. Disable all the items and restart in normal mode. See if that makes an improvement. If it does, then you can go into MSCONFIG and re-enable stuff as needed until you find the one program/utililty that is messing things up.
As for the battery, if you unplug the computer, does it keep running? If so, the battery is probably OK. If it stops, you need a new battery. If the battery is fairly new, then you might have a different problem, but let's try this other stuff first.
