I just purchased the Panasonic CQ-VD7005 from a refurb company on line and it requires the security code disc. How can I remedy this? Do I need the disc or is there a procedure that I can employ to solve this issue? If I need the disc where can I purchase one?

Someone mentioned to hold the joystick to the right for ten seconds and then press the power button on the remote. I don't know if it works, but that is what was mentioned with the other problem.

This is the fix for "security code lockdown" after an incorrect code has been entered three times - If the screen is blank and the unit will not respond, press the joystick on the face of the unit to the right and hold for 10+ seconds; release and press the power button on the remote. This unlocks the player so you can now enter the security code again. You must enter the correct security code to resume normal operation. The generic code for my unit was 1234, but I've also heard 9999 and 0000 work on some units. Hope this helps.

My previous fix suggestion was what I used on my Panasonic CQ-VAD7200U. I haven't tried it on any other model.
