Question about Compaq Computers & Internet
Hello. I'm a proud, new owner of a damaged Evo 410c (Compaq) laptop. The previous owner owner tried to power it with an AC/AC transformer. I have recently opened the casing and removed the minature, glass fuse which was ejected from it's holder. My questions: Where can I get a replacement fuse and what will it cost? I can't find the fuse holder -where is it located?
Normally the fuse rating is stamped on the end caps of the fuse. It would be rated in amps. Just get one that has the same rating and length.
The fuse will be held in place by spring clips that clip on the end caps of the fuse. Look for these clips, they will fit nearly onto the metal caps of the fuse.
