I have a kenmore gas oven the bake part of the oven seems to take a long time to preheat . I'm not sure how long the oven is suppose to take to reach 350 but it seems that it is taking forever. I just installed a new regulator and the broil seems to work fine, when I turn on the broil the temperature starts 100 and goes slow to 150 which takes about 6mins. and then I get a gas smell so I turn it off because i'm not sure of how long it's suppose to take to preheat and to reach 350

My JennAir double oven takes forever to preheat itself. I'm wondering if the electrician connected it properly.

I just moved into a home with a Kenmore oven (using propane.) The first time I tried to bake anything, it took forever for the oven to preheat and it never did fully warm up -- however, the house filled with propane smell. I called the propane company and they replaced the ignition. After they left, I tried it...and discovered that it now took a shorter time to go from preheat to bake and the oven does now achieve temperature, however, during the preheat phase the propane smell is so bad I have to open the window. Once it achieves temperature, the smell dissipates. I called the propane company again and they said that there is nothing wrong with the oven and that particular model "just does that." However, everyone else says I should never smell propane -- and especially not that strong for that long a time.
Please help!

Should be able to remove the bottom drawer and unplug the ignitor from below. Or you can cut the wires on the old ignitor and splice the new one in using ceramic
