Question about SanDisk Sansa e260 MP3 Player
So I have one of the many e260's that was made before that certain date last year to where there was a glitch in the programming and I've already had to put it in recovery mode once before. However when I did it this time it read refreshing database and kept flashing to a white screen and continued restarting, so many times that I just turned it off after awhile. Later on I turned back on and now it just stays at the opeing 'sandisk' in white letters on the black screen and that's it. What should I do? Plz help! My e260 is 4 gigs of my life!
Firmware update is a waste of time.
You need to follow these steps;
Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.
You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.
- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.
Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.
Best of Luck.
