Panasonic bluray SC-BT207 won't read disc

Has firmware version 2.1 and I've used a laser cleaning disc also. When I put a bluray in it says 'unable to read' and 'No Disc'. Taking disc out and trying again sometimes works but now this process may be repeated 3-4 times before it MAY randomly read disc. Picture has been perfect until the last time it pixelated.

SOURCE: My Panasonic Blu-Ray Home Theatre System Model

Firstly I would run a Disc cleaner before I did anything else. They are cheap and effective. You can usually find them in computer or electronics stores(Radio Shack for instance)

My Panasonic SC-AK44 won't read my disc in my 5 disc player. I have cleaned the laser carefully it played the discs, I went to put the discs on Radom, now the disc player won't read my discs again.

You will have to clean it again. But when you do so also check the rest of the mechanism for dust. You can get a special spray can of dust blaster (from Amazon) that will help remove the stuff!

Presumably when the mechanism switches the discs, it dislodges dust particles!

Wont read discs

follow this steps, and use the common sense.God bless you
If the player skips, make sure that the DVD disc is not dirty or scratched..Use the cleaner disk buy it from R. Shack.
If the tray won't open or close properly, check the belt for dirt or wear. Then check the tray for misalignment. If needed, remove, clean, lubricate, and reinstall the tray following the instructions in the owner's manual.

Unable to read discs on ps3

Hi,

This is a common problem with the PS3 unfortunately and is related to problems with either the Bluray drive or laser pick up. You can sometimes resolve it by cleaning the laser.

For a full breakdown on these issues, please view this FixYa Tip.

If this helps, please do leave a vote for the solution.

Thanks.

OUr DVD player has is unable to read the inserted disc

Try cleaning the laser lens. There are specialized cleaning discs available for this purpose. If the debris is too much for the cleaning disc, the lens may be cleaned with a photographic quality lens cleaning solution and proper photographic quality brush. The lens assembly is quite fragile, so use only enough solution to slightly wet the brush and be very, very gentle when performing this operation.

Can't read blu ray disc

We searched the internet and found out that many people had the same problem as us and the reason for the problem is a defective part. You have to call panasonic and mail the whole unit back to them for the needed repairs. It really stinks to have to give up our player for so long but what else do you do? Never buy panasonic I guess.

I thought that I deleted all of my information from your website when we discovered our problem. Please do not charge me for this. Also please get rid of my info. If I ever do need help again I am happy to try your site. Thanks for asking.
