Question about HP PSC 2355 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Have to re-install printer periodically.

Approximately every three months I'll try to print a document , but the printer does not receive a connection from my computer. I have to re-install the printer software. Sometimes installation requires the original CD and sometimes it doesn't. Also, there is a small message box constantly up on my desktop that says "Product Registration ... would you like to register your product?" I have registered this HP product several times over the last two years of this problem I called HP; they told me they no longer support the HP PSC2355xi product line.

About the registration message box, just answer No. What process runs approximately every 3 months that could be corrupting your printer driver? Interference with drivers does not "just happen." There is something else that is causing the corruption that requires reinstallation, especially if it is happening on a regular basis. That is what you need to find.

When trying to print an 11 x 17 word 2010 document that displays properly on the screen only a portion approximately 8.5 x 11 prints out of my 3 month old HP business Inkjet 2800 printer.

It may be that an updated driver is needed; that would be available from the HP website. You should be able to manually set the printer via the HP user software that came with it although it seems that Word should be able to do that automatically.

Data light flashes , documents won't print.

this is not a network problem.because machine is receiving documents thats why light is blinking. check the paper in the tray whether they are of correct size, change the paper size from computer, or call your tech service rep it may be due to usb cable or faulty network cable, or it may be the problem of main communication board of photocopier machine.

Mono color

These models use a "3 colour" printing process. In other words, these printers do not contain black ink when the BC-05 colour cartridge is installed. To produce black print, a 3 colour printer mixes an equal amount of the three primary colours. This process is known as "composite" black.

As the ink in the cartridge runs out, one of the three primary colours will run out first, depending on the material that has been printed. After one of the three colours has depleted, this colour will be missing from the mixture required to print black, and the print will change colour. This is the indication that the cartridge needs to be replaced. Usually the remaining colours in the cartridge will run out soon afterwards.

I had the same problem for about a week...each "new" day when I attempted to print my first document of the day I received a "printer not connected" problem type message. I had to unplug my printer each day. Then it dawned on me..........uninstall and then "re"install the printer. That was about 6 months ago and I have had NO problems since the "reinstall". TRY THAT ! ! ! !

Printing problem

Is the printer connected to a network or USB. If connected on a network there is probably an firewall blocking the print communications. Also the latest print drivers for the printer should be loaded.
