Your heating element is burnt out it wont trip the breakers its like when a coil on your electric stove burns out, everything else works it just doesnt cook you can buy just the element and their pretty simple to install just watch for the sharp edges on the metal case!

I will assume that you have cleaned the lint trap and checked that there is no lint stuck in the lint trap cavity

First, check the dryer vent. Any blockage anywhere in the vent will stop air flow. A dryer needs air flow to dry. Check every bit of it, even where it goes outside.

if that isn't the problem, then check your electrical connections. Your electric dryer runs on 220 volts, but it's really two wires carrying the electricity to the dryer at 110 volts each. If one of those wires isn't connected, the dryer could still turn on and spin, but it won't dry the clothes.

I learned that the hard way going through 2 dryers. Turned out one of the fuses in my apartment's fuse box had blown, but 2 fuses made up the 220v circuit. The dryer would spin and would work a little bit on low settings, but any other setting it would just spin and not dry at all. Replacing the fuse fixed the issue. With a breaker box, the 220v double breaker is connected, so if one trips, they both trip, and it wouldn't spin or turn on at all.

So check the socket with a multimeter (or have an electrician check it) and unplug and check the dryer cord making sure each connector is securely screwed in to the panel on the back. There is typically an access panel on the back of the dryer right next to where the cord goes in that you have to take off to get to the connection panel.

The last thing I would say a DIYer could look at is the heating element. If you take the back off, you can access the heating element and see if there is any lint or debri in there... if there is, clean it out and try the dryer... if it still doesn't work but there was debri in the heating element's channel, it could have burnt up a safty sensor that shuts the heating element off when it senses too much heat (fire, or potential to cause a fire) I suggest using and appliance repair man at this point.

Why does my washer do every thing but spin dry could a pressure swicth be bad on door?

Good Afternoon Dale,

I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000ES, not spinning your clothes dry. First, if the drum is not spinning at all, I suggest resetting your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. Once power is restored run a spin only cycle. If it starts spinning and the clothes are still coming out damp, try one of the following:

1)Try changing the spin speed to a higher speed.
2)Make sure that you have not overloaded your washer.
3)Make sure that the wash load is not too small. If you are only washing a couple of items, try adding 1 or 2 similar items to balance the load.
4)Try rearranging the load to allow proper spinning.
5)Check the drain hose for any kinks. If it is kinked, straighten it.
If you are still having trouble with your washer spin drying, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. Hope this helps.

    -Best Regards-

Not drying clothes

First check your breakers in the main box. The dryer lights and drum will spin with 110 volts only the heating element needs 220 volt if one of the breakers or fuses are tripped it will not heat. Trip the breakers off then turn them back on and check it. If it still wont heat check the heating element and wires leading to it as well as the 110/ 220 volt connector it may be bad or have a wire off, if all is ok then the heating element is probably bad and a new one needs put on.

My dryer is Tcm570 it started leaking water on the floor while clothes are drying, then not drying after circulation. But if I try to put it on now it turns all the power in the house off. What's

There are a lot of parts to this problem: First don't plug it in again or try to restart it...yet, Make sure before you reset the circuit breaker that you unplug the dryer. So now your home should be fine! The dryer is another story... I have answered this problem for others and with other dryers... Please focus on your washer, there should be very little water that remains in your clothes after the wash cycle and the clothes should Definitely not be dripping. Check to see that your spin cycle is working and if necessary run it through the spin cycle again. You may be overloading the washer. Back to the dryer...NO water should EVER drip from a dryer! If you do not wish to call a service person I would wait about 1 1/2 weeks for the dryer to dry itself and give the dryer another try after that and set it for Air dry only (no heat) if you don't have a problem at that point then stop the dryer and set it for a low heat cycle and try again. I think at that point you should be OK? If you do have problems.. you will have to call in a service person. But please remember clothes should be quite dry coming from the washer before going into the dryer.

No heat-Kenmore (Whirlpool) Elite He5 Steam 110.8775

Check that there is 240 volt at the plug as sometimes a breaker will be weak on one side and only produce 120 volts which will let the drum spin but produce no heat

Dryer is spinning and working fine, just no heat to dry the clothes?

Hello Could be sevral things the motor that sopins the dryer and the control are 110 volt the heal element is 220 volt if you blew half the breaker you can get spin and no heat. If it is not the breaker it could be a bad element or a senso which would require a repairman
