Question about Linare Desktop, AMD Sempron 2200,40 GB HDD & 128 MB RAM
I'm running a Velocity Micro Desktop computer and recently upgraded my computer with a 9600 GT Geforce Nvidia card. This hasn't happened before but when I play Titan Quest off of Steam my screen goes black; and nothing I do brings it back, it only fixes itself when I turn my computer off manually. The only other game it happens frequently with is Demigod. It doesn't happen immediately it always takes a while; but with either game it has happened every time. Spore is the only other full screen game I play like Demigod or Titan Quest and it has never gone to a black screen.
If the pc plays on some of the games without going blank, I will suggest two things for to do. Adjust the screen resolution perhaps a little higher than what you have now. Finally, upgrade your RAM capacity. However, reverting to your former card can do the magic as I can sense that the new card may be running higher than what PCI socket on your mainboard can carry. It may be incompatible and only managing for now. Good luck
