Hi,

Sounds like the player itself is OK. The white screen on power on is an indicator that the backlight and the inverter that is powering it is also OK.

A couple of things you can try:
1. If your unit has a video out, hook it up to a TV with Video INput. Normally this is a yellow colored RCA connector. On play and there's video in the TV, then your DVD decoder is OK and the problem is with the interface;
2. On the interface, any of 3 possibilities:
2.1 Converter which performs the Digital to Analog Conversion (DAC) among other things, this is a single IC chip;
2.2 the flexible flat cable; or
2.3 the LCD panel itself.

Of the 3 the only part that you can check without any special tools is the flat cable. It connects the inside of your player to the screen. You have to remove the front panel of the LCD screen and the top panel cover of the player. Once exposed, visually check for any breaks which can be caused by constant opening/closing of the lid. The preferable way to check is with the use of a continuity tester.

Should you not feel comfortable doing the above and/or it checks OK, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified technician since any further repair would involve electronic circuitry diagnosis, soldering/desoldering and/or component replacement.

In some instances, this problem may be caused by a faulty LCD bias from the power supply. You may have to check the voltages going in to the LCD panel.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turn up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

How do I connect old school dvd/vcr combo to LED HDTV?

The general rule of thumb is that R-W-Y outputs from the VCR/DVD combo plug into corresponding color coded inputs on the TV. I think the Y(ellow)/VIDEO designation indicates where to insert the Y cord. It's worth a try.

I accidently put the rca wires in the wrong audio input/output on my craig cd graphics karaoke player.Could this be why i have no sound?

The RCA outs are designed to send a signal to an external amplifier. That amplifier, in turn, sends the music signal to speakers.
The RCA inputs are designed to take audio signals from another device (like an ipod, CD Player, or computer) and play it through the Craig System speakers. If you sing into the microphone, the vocals will be mixed with the incoming music. However, in these cases, there won't be lyrics on the screen. If you play a karaoke DVD in a DVD player, connect the red, white and yellow RCA cables from the DVD out to the Craig Inputs, the lyrics should appear on the Craig screen while the music plays.
If you mistakenly plug RCA cables into the Craig Inputs and plug the other end into an amplifier's inputs, neither will produce any sound.
Using RCA outs is only necessary if you want to have louder music than the on-board Craig speakers can handle. Of course, you can run the yellow video cable to a TV RCA input to get a bigger lyrics window and the RED and White RCA to the TV RCA Red and White inputs to hear the music through the TV's speakers.

How to hook up dvd player with red blue and green connectors to direct tv box with red yellow and white connectors

The Red Blue And Green are for things like projectors they send out the 3 colours to make up the TV screen.
The Red and White connectors are right and left audio the yellow is video.
I don't think you can connect these two together. So unless the box has a scart socket and the DVD player one also you are stuck.
If there's a problem caused by a shortage of scart sockets, then can I suggest a Scart Switching Box from places such as Amazon, shown below:

Set-up for portable DVD player by Craig cmd420

Hello
[1] Insert the batteries into the Craig DVD player. Depending on the model you are using, the batteries are either rechargeable lithium-ion batteries or store-purchased AA batteries.
[2] Plug the 3.5mm cable into the headphone jack on the side of the Craig DVD player
[3] Insert the opposite end of the cable into the "Aux" connection on the car stereo. Without this audio-input option, you will be unable to hook the Craig DVD player up to your vehicle.
[4] Power on the Craig DVD player and insert the desired DVD. The video will load onto the display screen while the audio is played through the car's stereo system.

DVD Player connection to the tv... Theres three different colours on each side (red, white, and yellow) I already got it hooked up to the tv but the problem is that to hook the other end into the DVD...

Red is usually the left channel audio, white the right channel audio, and yellow the video. Look for something to the effect of "audio out" and "video out" on your DVD player.

No Sound when playing a video game on Coby Pertable DVD player

Do you have the audio plugs in the proper spot? The red & white audio plugs from the PS 2 need to be plugged into the audio in jacks on the portable dvd player in order to get sound. Should match up red to red; white to white for sound, yellow to yellow for video. Hope this helps.

No video - just a white screen

So I am guessing you have audio and no video, your monitor has went out. you can check and see if ribbon cable is slightly uplugged, but maybe just a bad monitor. These happen usually from a drop or hard hit to the unit.
