If it's about a 2-inch wheel with a rubber "tire" it goes on a little stub of a shaft at the back of the dryer and supports the drum from below. There are two, one on the left, other on right. Usually retained by a small triangular plastic clip. If it's gas, you can reach it from the front by reemoving the access under the door. If electric, you'll have to disassemble the dryer.

Have you checked for a loose or warn drive belt. A loose belt will not have enough friction to turn the wheels under load. Also check the tensioner pulley for the same belt.

My brother and I discovered that my Serpentine Belt had come off on my 2005 Suzuki Forenza. While attempting to replace the Serpentine Belt I discovered the pulley attached to the crank shaft is loose and...

If the pulley wheel doesn't seem to connect to anything else it is probably just your tension pulley.
These are only to keep the serpentine belt tight while allowing it to adjust to some limited extent.

You can replace the pulley itself. These commonly grind when they go bad, or in your case it sounds like yours just broke off..

How to adjust belt sqealing problems?

If this vehicle has one serpentine belt chances are the belt must be replaced, look to see if there are visible cracks on the contact surface of the belt if so replace the belt if not then there may be a component in the pulley system that is starting to seize, the squeal is the pulley wheel offering more resistance at certain times therebye causing the noise, with the belt off try turning each pulley to see if binding is occuring, also check each pully wheel for loosness or play the bearing may be worn if play is detected.

Belt Broke and pulley bracket came loose, where does pully belong

It goes into the front of the motor on the floor with the wheel to the left. You insert the belt between the idler bracket and loop it over the motor pulley.
The ribs of the belt need to be up against the drum for grip. It is best to have a person hold the drum while you do the pulley. Here is a page that shows various belt routings on different machines, yours is bottom right.

Changing drive belt

ensure that the tensioner pulley wheel is also part of the belt loop and that it is properly sprung to take up slack. sometimes, this pulley looks good mounted in reverse, giving no tension to belt. try it the other way, against the spring force.
