for the past week, once the TV has been on for about 10 minutes it begins to switch into standby mode and says "please wait" on the screen. The picture will come back in only to immediately go off and move into standby.....any suggestions.
I am experimenting with Insignia's and there is a feature whereby if a signal is not detected the TV will switch to standby mode (in about 10 - 15 minutes). It's documented as a tiny "note" in the manual under "Understanding the basics - Turning TV on or off"
I don't know if the TV resumes when the signal is restored or if you need to power on manually.
You are probably experiencing a glitch with the signal or the TV thinking the signal is not there. Are you watching a clear picture when this happens? I would first check to see if the signal is too weak (like using a signal booster). If that is not the case, it's probably the TV acting up.
I hope this helps.
