Question about Refrigerators

Norcold model number N621 won't power on

We have a 1999 Jayco fifth wheel camper with a norcold model number N621 fridge. We know there is power to the outlet it is plugged into, we know the DC power in the camper is good. We replaced the supply box on the back of the fridge and have checked all fuses yet when we try to turn on the fridge at the front panel it won't come on. Any ideas what to check next?

We have a 1999 Hurricane Motorhome. What would cause a big bulge inside our Norcold refrigerator. It appears something must have been hot to make a big bubble inside the fridge. Thank you. Sharon

Contact the Norcold factory.
That may take you a while.
I suspect the fridge is an automatic defrost.
If so, they have heating coils inside the walls.
If one stuck on, that could cause that.
Type Norcold into your computer search engine.
God bless your efforts.

This is a new recall campaign to include all 1200, 1201, 1210 and 1211 models.

  2. Identify and write down the refrigerator serial number. If the serial number falls in the range of 315525 and 13088811, go to step 3.
  3. Identify and write down the cooling unit serial number. If the serial number falls in the range of 700000 and 13085759, go to step 4.
  4. Call your dealer immediately.
The installation of the High Temperature Sensor will be at no cost to you.
Owners of recalled refrigerators should NOT operate their refrigerator until it can be professionally repaired by your dealer or a Norcold authorized service center.
If you have one of the recalled refrigerators and you:

Currently reside in the RV, you should immediately:

  1. Set the refrigerator controls to "OFF".
  2. Unplug the refrigerator through the service vent on the outside of the vehicle.
  3. Contact your dealer, a Norcold authorized service center or Norcold's Recall Center at 1-800-767-9101 as soon as possible to get assistance.

I shut down the fridge. Not getting any power to it now. I have checked breakers and fuses. There is power to 110 outlet where it plugs in. No power to gas valve. What do you think the problem is?

Your Norcold refrigerator is powered by 12V DC, not 110V AC. You need to check input power at the power board. If the fuses are good and you have good 12V to the refrigerator, check to see if you are getting 12V past the 5amp fuse on the board. If not, you may have a bad board. Norcold fridge in my motorhome

Norcold fridges are now part ofThetford one of the largest suppliers of mobile and marine products. You do not quote the model so not sure if a 3 way (gas/mains/12v) or AC/DC. The most common problem with all mobile fridges is the heater unit is faulty. Thetford have discontinued spares for a large range of norcold models. Information can be obtained on the Thetfold.com website.
Good Luck

Refridge not working

Even if your plugged in, you'll have to confirm you have 12Volts DC going to back of fridge at connections, behind vent cover. Is the upper board on front of fridge lighting up when you turn it on? Could you also give me model number off fridge to help guide you better ? Model # should be on inside of fridge.

N621 does not cool or does not turn off/on with the button The lp lights fine but the compressor does not seem to be getting cool.

Eyebrow board or control board is bad. kI just had one like this and it was the control board. The compressor shoiuld not get cool. The entire back of the fridge will be hot. You need proper air flow for the back to cool properly. That will cause all kinds of problems as far as cooling.
