No LED power lights go on

I have a MTX Jackhammer JH202 amp--it seems to be working fine--but I get no LED power light when it is on. There is actually 3 LED power light options.--one has like a lightening bolt, one is a circle with a line (power), & one has 3 sqiggly lines--none of these are lit up when the sound system is on--??? I know it is getting power, but is the amp itself not working>>

The light with the power light(middle) is a blue/purple faint light try checking it out at night. The squiggy(as heat waves) will only light when the amps shuts down due to thermal protection(wait for it to cool). The bolt/yellow (short circuit) will light when there is an electrical overload in any of the wires(check +ve leads).

Hi i have a mtx jackhammer JH202 amp and a mtx jackhammer jJH5510D sub and every so often when a song is playing there will be bass and al of a sudden it will shut off and after a few minutes it will come...

The problem was caused by you trying to run a 2OHM load on an amplifier which is designed to run only on 4OHM when it is bridged, the amplifier is most definatley cooked. An authorized MTX technician should take a look at it, to determine just how wide spread the damage is.

When I turn my car off a little light on my amplifier stays on! It looks like it's a lightning bolt?! I want to know if it is bad that that light stays on when I turn my truck off?

Hello rlpate1, Most likely whoever installed the amp used speaker level inputs and the "smart engage" turn on feature instead of a remote turn-on wire from the head unit. Just like your dome lights, the amp light should go out after a while, exactly how long depending on MTX's internal setting. I wouldn't worry about it as long as it isn't discharging the battery and causing your truck to not start. However, it's possible that the 12V turn-on terminal is being used and the head unit or whatever it is wired to is supplying a constant turn-on voltage even with your truck turned off. In this case, you definitely need to fix it. Otherwise, it will eventually discharge the battery and you will not be able to start the truck. Check the switch marked "smart engage" to see if it is on or off. If it is on, you're probably OK. If not, have your installer check it out. Hope this helps.

Jh202 amp works for a few minutes stops for a few minutes any ideas

Sounds like the amp is going into Protection Mode. Does yours have green LED light then RED LED on it? The green is power and the red is Protection. You will need to either change the OHMS wiring or Put A Fan on it to Keep it Cool Inside.

My ams is messed up

this is an impedance crash in other words your signal in is no good (replace RCA jacks) or your signal out is no good check wires for proper connections and or continuity and replace wires as needed or correct wiring or phase.

When i hook up my amp. i have all my wires hooked up right,

this is a signal crash either your speaker wires are crossed (wrong wiring phase) or your RCA jacks need replacing also it could be inside your amp the solder lines may have fused. If after checking and replacing wiring problem persists return to MTX for repair.
