Question about EMI EHW 18000 Air Conditioner

Condensate Drain Pan Error E:02

I have an EMI WLHA air conditioner that is flashing error code E:02. Looking at the manuel it says that this happens when the drain pan is full and should take about three minutes or so to correct itself. I've waited a half an hour before turning it back on and I still can't get it to cool. It won't get the room colder than 75. I'm at a loss of what to do. Thank you for any advice you have for this problem.

If I knew where any of those things were, that would be helpful. If you could please elaborate a little bit on how I would get to some of these things it would be greatly appreciated.

Were do i get the manuel for model number ph3 12r03 is the model number were or how do I drain the water and can you send me a manual

Here is the link to the manual:

Here are those particular instructions:

Compressor Indicator

The " " icon will light up on the control panel display when the compressor turns on. The " " icon will turn off when the compressor shuts off.

Emergency Condensate Holding Tank

When the room temperature is low and the indoor humidity is high, the air conditioner may not be able to evaporate some of the moisture fast enough. When this happens, the water will accumulate in an emergency condensate tank inside the unit. Once the emergency condensate tank is full, the unit will automatically shut off and the " " will appear on the control panel display. To empty the condensate tank, unscrew the screw plug at the bottom back of the unit. You will need a small pan, approximately 1" high to catch the water coming out of the condensate tank. Once the condensate tank is drained, the unit will begin working within a few minutes. The emergency condensate tank holds approximate
ly 1.5 Liters of water.

Another option is to purchase a small hose from a hardware store that can fit around the 5/8" drain plug on the back of the unit and drain the unit into a gravity drain or larger pan for continuous drainage.

To resume operation quickly, empty the water container according to the following steps:

1. Turn the unit off. Do not move the unit when the water container is full.

2. Place the drain pan accessory under the drainage port at the back of the unit.

3. Remove the screw plug from the drain hole. The condensate water will drain out automatically. When the drain pan is full, screw the screw plug back onto the drainage hole to stop the water flow. Empty the drain pan. Repeat until all the water is emptied.

Once the water container has been emptied, screw the plug back onto the drain hole. Do not allow the
water to drip continuously into the drain pan, as it might easily overflow.

Our A/C unit when running, the drain water isn now backing up and leaking over the side in our basement. we've never had this problem before.

Hello, this usually indicates a clogged condensate line or cracked condensate pan. Try using a wet/dry by attaching one end of it to the otlet of the comdensate line, the suction pressure should dislodge the clog. If the line appears clean the the pan is cracked and will require a technician to come out and fix it.

My coleman rv ac unit is dripping condensation inside the camper, what is causing that?

It is possible that the drain hole on condensate pan is plugged and causing water to over flow pan. Remove cover from unit and check drain line.Clean coils andpan as best you can and clear drain hole. Add a small amount of bleach to water in drain pan. This will kill any algea or bacteria that may be growing in condensate water and plugging the drain. Thank you

Grtting an e4 code and pump wont start

E-4 RAC Product = Heat Sink Sensor Error, Open/Short Cct or over 95C. Commercial Product = Condensate pump float switch risen. Check drain pan is empty,
check pump is working OK. If no pump check blue jumper plug is inserted in socket CN Float.

Please write next time with model and type of unit. Thanks.

Air conditioner collecting water

You could have a clog in the condensate line or right in the outlet of the condensate drain pan on the cooling coil. Some times you can hook a wet vac up to the condensate drain and turn the vac on to **** out the blockage. You may have to cut the condensate line to do it but most of the time,it's pvc pipe and you can pick up a coupling and some glue at any plumbing supply or hardwear store. It could also be a cracked condensate pan or the pan might have shifted so it's not level and water is running over the edge rather than flowing down the drain line.Check for a blockage first.Once you put the drain line in the hose of the vac, just wrap a moist rag around the place where the vac and drain linc connect together to make a good seal.good luck,AG

We have a Fujistu Spilt Air Conditioner that is about 12 years old and it is leaking water from under the vents where the cool air comes out, Why? The filters are cleaned regularly and bit confused to why...

The condensate drain line or the condensate pan in the unit is most likely plugged. The pan is in the unit on the wall and is on the bottom under the cooling coil. There is a drain hole on the right or left hand side of the pan and this drain hole connects to a drain line that either drains to outside or to a floor drain in the house. You need to clear the restriction where ever it is. If you have trouble trying to access anything you are better off calling a service tech to remedy the problem. Good luck!!

It is running well but leaking water...Is there suppose to be a drain?

The leaking water is the condensate from the evaporator coil produced as the unit dehumidifies the air.

The condensate should drip into a pan which has a drain which can be directed to the desired location (may need to add a drain hose to the drip pan).

The drain may be just clogged -- hope this helps you investigate the situation.
