it doesnt work i cant tell if its even on. i put new batteries in. it was a handme down from a friend who haas long since moved. its a nec keyboard. do i need a special driver or something?

Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start
flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.
