I can get on the internet, the only problem that I have noticed is what I explained in the first question. I tried what mrodriques told me to do. but I could not select the defult like he said.

These problems are caused by a bad context menu handler. A context menu handler is a shell extension handler that adds commands to an existing context menu (Example: cut, copy, paste, print, Scan with Norton etc). A poorly coded context menu handler may be causing any of the above symptoms. As context menu handlers can be added in different areas (file class, folder, allfilesystemobjects, HKCR\* registry keys), it's a difficult task for an end-user to pinpoint which shell extension is causing the problem.

c cleaner may somtimes clean this by using the registry cleaner. it does look for poor coded or mishanndled context.

Did this happen after installing a program?

you can find it c cleaner from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_cclean...

It's sounds like it may be an issue with the screen refresh rate. From your desktop right click and select properties. Then select the display tab. From there, choose the option to reset to default settings.

Installing xp on inspiron 1525

The reason why xp does not see the hard drive durin setup is the ahci option enabled in the bios. you need to change the option to ata. to do that power on the system and tap f2 at the dell logo. in the bios change the stat operations to ata. the option most likely is listed under drivers. you may also have to disble flash cache from the bios. once the option is disabled hit esc and save and exit. boot from the XP cd and run the setup. at the partations screen delete the c drive and partation it according to the size you need for xp and leave the rest for vista. install XP and the drivers from support.dell.com. After XP is ready to use put in the Vista DVD once in XP and install Vista on the unpartationed space left from the c drive.
