Question about Televison & Video
My KV-XR34M31 is not starting. It does make a sound that it is going to start up but nothing happens. It was working yesterday...I specific thing I might need to check.

The sqeaky sound is arcing in the line timebase, or switch mode power supply, which also doubles up as the power supply for various voltages. You must get a service engineer to look at this as it will only get worse and cost more for repair if you continue to switch it on.

SOURCE: SONY KV-27FS20 TV does not start
Only 3 things bad Flyback transfomer,bad picture tube ,shorted hori output transistor. more then likely you have a bad picture tube,ive already throwed over 20 sets out due to bad tubes.

A common cause is a failure in the one of the scan amplifiers or on the high voltage section. It is also possible to have a power supply fault that will give this error message.

Cheak your fuse under the drivers side under the hood. Look in your manuel for fuel fuse. It looks like a little black box.
