Question about Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

In my 2006 Toyota Tacoma 2wd 4cyl the fan seems to be blowing rather weak. With the fan on high it seems as if its hardly on, compared to most other vehicles. Is this normal for a tacoma or is there a way to fix it?

Hi there, it is possible there is something obstructing the air flow. Switch the fresh/recirculate switch to recirculate does the airflow increase? Next you will have to remove the blower motor check the cage ,is it clear? Using a flashlight inspect the blower housing for debris, leaves, paper etc. Check operation of the blend and mode doors.

Is it the engine vibrating or the car? If its the car itself it sounds like u need to have the tires checked & balanced.

2006 tacoma airconditioning problem

Replace the fan motor resistor, which is located in the blower housing, (under the dash, under the glove box) to the driver side of the fan motor. Held on by 2 screws. Common problem. I change a lot of them.
