You need to make sure your plug is sparking
and if it is wet then the engine is flooded with fuel
press your primer bulb 5 or 6 times and use no choke and hold throttle open when trying to start it

Your fuel and air adjustment needle valves are out of adjustment. On the carburetor look for two small screws next to each other. You will need to adjust those screws. The one closest to the air cleaner is the air adjustment screw, and the other is fuel. If you mess up the adjustments where it will not start, screw both screws in all the way (do not force them), and back both out one and a half turns. the trimmer will start... make more adjustments form there.
over flooded ( crank case full of fuel)
Take the plug out and let it sit for a long time , then pull the cord for a while
dry off the plug
, full throttle , no choke , remove air filter
replace the plug and try starting it
work your way back from the spark plug, when you crank it over take the plug out, is it wet? if so the fuels getting to the cylinder but the spark may be good but not be strong enough, try a new plug.
worse aspect is holed piston or piston rings and have next to no compression, chuck an eye through the spark plug hole with a torch and see if you can see any metal filings or damage. otherwise chuck a compression tester on it to be more accurate.
Echo carbs have a little black plastic plug covering the High speed adj screw..CA air pulotion control bs..So get that little black blug out and give the screw a little turn open and u should be good to go..It worked for me..on a PBL 251 blower..My Echo weed wacker has the carb also..Go to Echos site and download the parts break down for your unit and look at the carb page..You will see the plug and HS,screw..happing wacking and blowing
Try cleaning the screen that is located behind the spark arrestor screen cover. This is located on the muffler. Soak it with gasoline and clean it with a wire brush.
Sounds flooded.
