The computer says to check all connections. The only way I can see this message is hooking it up to a monitor the laptop monitor is not working it's like there is no power going to it. Everything else is fine.

assuming you've connected previously without error REBOOT both your computer and your router. give a few minutes for your router to boot up, connect and start broadcasting the wifi. if your system doesn't connect after that, scan it for malware and spyware with reputable software
Do you see this error as a BIOS message when the computer first tries to power up? If so, then check your cables in the computer (with it OFF), make sure they are connected and tight. Then power up the computer. If same error shows, you probably have a bad hard drive or other bad hardware. If this error shows up AFTER Windows runs, then it might be a virus in your computer, so download and run the free version of Malwarebytes and run it, delete any viruses found, then reboot the computer.

Right Click on My Computer icon and go to manage. Go to event viewer and under the System (and also Application) categories, check for errors. In the same window, go to Local Users and Groups->Users->Your user profile->Member Of and check whether you have sufficient rights(are you an Admin???), then go to Seervices and check whether the Service can be started in your profile. Thanks. Good Luck. If the solution is helpful, please rate the answer kindly. :) from
First who is your service provider?
Can you connect to the internet if you directly hook your modem to your computer.
1>If so connect your Modem to your router on the colour code slot on the router which says modem
2>Connect a cable from the router to your computer
3>The lan light on the router should be turned on
4>Check wether your lan says connected . To check that click start-> control pannel -> network connections
5>If it says connected try internet explorer settings
6>If it says limited or no connectivity
Click start ->run -> cmd->ipconfig
7>It should say ip address as : 169.254.x.x.
8>If so type ipconfig/release
9>It shoul say ip address: 0.0.0.0
10>Type ipconfig/renew on command promt
12>Disable and enable lan
Let me know if this helped and also if you dont what kind of messages you get .
