There is usually a back door that is supposed to be used to properly clear a paper jam, but it depends on the make and model of printer you have. You should be able to go to the online support site for the manufacturer and search support under paper jam for your model and they'll have detailed instructions.
Or write back with that info and we'll get a link for you...
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

Wont turn on

Hello Scot,

While the printer is OFF, unplug the Power Cord from the back of the printer and also unplug any other cords connected to it.
Wait for 25 minutes.
Then plug in the printer power cord directly to wall outlet .

Xerox M15i has a paper jam 2 error, how to fix

Hi, open the right side as if you were removing a jam. You will see 4 silver phillips screws. Remove them, unplug the fuser and slide it out. I think you will find either a paper folded up in the fuser or in the paper path just past the fuser.
The fuser itself probably needs rebuilt or replaced.

Take care

Printer keeps reading paper jam

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud
