i only have a laptop, my room is VERY SMALL. So the air conditioner should work fine. I have the two hoses thats running outside in the window, although only one hose is blowing out hot air, the other is just sitting there for some strange reason. the screen that reads the room temperature just keeps reading 99 degrees and it feels like im suffocating

no ice, i've kept the filter lean, always. what do you mean unplug the unit? as in the power cord? if so, i'll give that a try. The only light i see is the one next to the fan speed, which is red, and the temperature. i've left it running before, but it just feels like im suffocating

how big is the room you are trying to cool with this and how much heat load do you have? if its a big area with a lot of computer equipment this just won't work even a small area with a lot of heat load this wont keep up. are you exhausting the pipe out of the room.the unit you have is one ton worth of cooling.

One hose is the heated condensing air and one hose is the intake air. if this unit is not working correctly and u just purchased it take it back. if the landlord will replace it tell them. do not call a service tech to check this unit out if u know 4 sure the temp is set right and it continues to blow hot and the exhaust hose blows outside and the unit is set to cool you are money ahead to replace it. hopefully a landlord or recent purchase can bail you, you can find these units at home depot lowes and get them 4 about 400 dollars. hopefully it's covered somehow by warranty or landlord but the cost for checkout and service will exceed the cost for replacement. have you tried to unplug the unit leave it unplugged and try again. have u cleaned the filter. have you noticed ice anywhere. maybe a light that tells you the drain is plugged i don't wan't to get you're hopes down when you are burning up but check these things and let me know if u see any abnormalities. do you leave the unit running in hopes that you will come home and it works? check for ice is there air blowing constantly? if u dont get air flow you could have a fan thats out or its iced up. let me know.

Remove exhaust hose

U need that hose to direct the warm air outside the area to be cooled. If you remove it, the hot exhaust will stay in the room being cooled and negate the cold air being directed into the room.

That is why regular room AC units are mounted on window sill. Cold air in, hot air out.

How do i get my portable haier air conditioner cool off my house below 73

Air conditioners can only drop the temperature of the room temperature a maximum of 15 to 20 degrees F. A 95 degree F room temperature can drop to a maximum temperature of 75 to 80 degrees F. If the room temperature drops from 95 to 85 degrees F, Then the problem is having too small of a btu rating on the air conditioner or refrigerant has leaked out the sealed system which can affect the amount of cooling performance. You will have to buy a higher rated btu rated air conditioner if the temperature of the room drops by only 10 degrees F. Air conditioners are rated by how much heat that can be removed each hour. The more humid it is, the more work an air conditioner has to do. They cannot do more work than the btu rating that is listed on each air conditioner.

I have a commercial cool model# CPRD12XC7. Problem is that it will be 82 degrees in house but the units temperture on control panel reads 65 degrees. What is the problem and were can i buy replacement...

From what you have described it sounds like the room temperature sensor may be at fault. But, be usre you're seeing the room temp, rather than the temperature you have the unit set on.

In any event, Haier's Product Support Hotline can give you more details on the sensor and what part(s) may be needed.to make the repair or direct you to one of their authorized service locations You can reach them by dialing 1-877-337-3639

Hi I've just purchased a used HPRD12XC5 portable air conditioner. It did not come with Air Intake/Outlet hoses, exhaust adapter or window slider kit. Is there somewhere I can buy these? Thanks -...

Harry. if you purchased it from a brick and mortar store, rather than online. Return it to the store for replacement. Or you can get it from Haier under warranty, with your Proof of Purchase. It's more to it than just the air intake and the exhaust hoses.

You can contact Haier Customer Support at 877-337-3639.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

Haier room air conditioner doesn't cool maximally at "Hi AC"

You should have at least 5,500 BTU's for that size room. Clean the filter. Turn it on and let it work for a few hours.

Blows room temperature air

Hello
Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you

The air conditioning
unit works, but does
not cool the room

• window open
• there are heat sources in the room (burner,
lamp, etc)
• the exhaust hose is detached
• air filters clogged
• Inadequate size of the room (too large)
• close the window
• eliminate the heat source
• connect the exhaust hose
• clean or replace the filters
If all this dose not remedy the problem then you need to see service!

Please remember to leave a rating before you go!
Thank you

Maybe, the compressor isn't starting? I'd take it back to where you purchased it.
