I have a ACER ZG5 netbook, and I need to activate the dual TV / monitor feature. After hitting Fn then F5, I cannot move the single monitor icon to the dual monitor option no matter what I use on the keyboard or click with my cursor. What do you suggest? Do I need to have a nVidia driver on the ACER ZG5 netbook to be able to run my flat panel Fujitsu from this ACER netbook. Will the Fujitsu flat panel automatically accept a VGA signal fro this netbook. My Fujitsu flat panel does not have a VGA setting.

How do i fix white screen on my kav60 acer aspire one

The KAV60 is also the AOD250.

Netbook OFF, monitor OFF, connect an external monitor to the netbook's VGA port.

[You can use a VGA monitor. Looks like a small TV.
This is an example of a VGA port,

VGA connector Wikipedia the free encyclopedia

Note* VGA port doesn't have to be blue in color ]

Turn the monitor on. Turn the netbook on.
If there is no image shown on the external VGA monitor, press and hold down on the Fn key, and at the same time tap once on the Display Toggle-Over key.
(The F5 key is the Display Toggle-Over key)

No image on external VGA monitor?
Hold the Fn key down once more, and tap again on the F5 key.

Still no?
Problem is internal in netbook. Probably graphics chipset soldered to the motherboard.
Replace motherboard.

Image shows on external monitor?
Problem is with Video Cable or laptop LCD screen.
MOST of the time it's the Video Cable.

The Video Cable connects to the motherboard, in an area under the Keyboard. It then routes up under the left Hinge, and into the Display Panel.
Inside the Display Panel it then connects to the LCD screen.

With frequent opening and closing of the netbook, the Video Cable can be pulled on. This can cause damage to the Video Cable.
(Stretched/broken wires inside the sheath of the cable)

And/or it can cause the connection at the motherboard to be loose, and/or at the LCD screen.

Example of Acer Aspire One video cable,

For ACER Aspire One D250 LCD Screen Cable DC02000SB10 KAV60 New

You can remove the Video Cable, and check it's continuity with a multimeter, or if the cost is reasonable to you simply replace it.

8 to 10 dollar video cable is not the problem? Then problem is the LCD screen itself.

My money is on a loose video cable connection, or damaged video cable.

My Netbook Acer Aspire One will not hook up to the LCD projector.

Connecting an External Monitor or Data Projector
You can switch to anexternal monitor or data projector by two methods.1. Connect the externalmonitor to the laptop's video port, power up the external monitor first and thelaptop. The video information will automatically switch to the externalmonitor.2. If you power up thelaptop first then you can switch the video output to the external monitor bypressing the Fn key and one of the Function keys, depending upon your make andmodel laptop. You can also toggle between the external monitor or both LCDscreen plus the external monitor or back to LCD screen only by pressing the Fnkey plus one of the function key. Here is a list of keycombinations for some of the laptops :-IBM ThinkPad = Fn + F7HP and Compaq = Fn + F4Toshiba = Fn + F5Dell = Fn + F8

The LCD screen on my Acer is broken. I am trying to transfer the files from the Acer to a Toshiba Laptop so that I can send the Acer in for repairs. I bought an external Monitor Cable. Am I on the right...

You will need an external monitor, Hook it up, turn it on, press the FN key then i believe F3 of F4 maybe even F5 brings up the view from your Acer on the external monitor. Then you can start the thumb drive transfers to your Toshiba.

How do I connect the Acer netbook to the TV?

The only option is using the VGA port on the Aspire One to hook it up to the TV.

Your TV must have a VGA in port for your to be able to hook your computer to your TV. All you need is a regular VGA cord.

I am trying to connect an acer netbook to an LG tv. All I get is a no signal response. What do I do?

ensure you switch on the exteral outlet of your laptop.
for acer i am told the following
right click the desktop and choose graphics options/external monitor. ensure this is set to external monitor.
if not look for a button on your keyboard that has a monitor square shape on it. then use the fn or function key together with this key to toggle thorough, notebook screen - notebook+monitor- monitor only.

2. ensure the source is set to on TV for the input for pc monitor connection. ensure and correct monitor cable is between the input connector on your tv and the monitor output of your laptop.

hope this helps
