Question about HP 1020 Plain Paper Thermal transfer Fax
HP 1020 Plain Paper Fax Machine. cleaned rollers recently. Now I get a "busy, try later" error. Question. If I turned the rollers, would a "timing" problem result that made the machine think it was working? Power down does not reset or default the error. Ideas? norm in alaska
Depending what rollers and how you did it, you probably have 'spun' a clutch out of position so it can't find it's 'home" position, and keeps on trying. If it worked before cleaning and now it doesn't you've definitely broken or dislodged something like that.
