How do I change the trimmer line?

I picked up a trimmer line at Sears. It looks like I have to wrap it in the spool. I do not know where to begin with that. Please help. Thanks.

I dont work for sears but i bet if you took it to the lawn and garden section they would wrap the spool for you and or show you how.
A common spool has winding directions on it you need to start with no bigger than.080 trimmer line
some have 2 lines some have one.
some pull off some have a button you unscrew
some you feed thru without removing anything.
this would seem simplistic but there are alot of variables even with trimmer line

Whick way do I fit the plastic thread into the holes on the top of the spool, is there a certain way

Assuming you are talking about a weed *******/grass trimmer, look for an arrow on the spool indicating which direction you should wind the thread. If there is no arrow or it has worn off, turn on the trimmer to see which direction the spool spins. Wind the thread in the direction the spool spins. If it spins clockwise, insert the thread into the hole in the center and begin to wrap the thread around the spool in a clockwise direction, avoiding any major overlaps.

How to replace trimmer line ?

1. Remove the cap on the trimmer head, it unscrews.

2. The spool comes off, and on the inside of the spool there is a small hole, this is where you will start your trimmer line. It it will hold it in place while you wrap it. There is also arrows on the spool showing the direction that you need to wrap your spool.

3. Insert the line in the hole and start to wrap the line in the directions of the arrows, try to keep the line in rows, or else the line may bind and you will have to do it all over again.

4. Feed the line through the retainer and reinstall the spool by lining up the retainer and the slot on the outside portion on the trimmer head, the screw back on the trimmer head and you will be ready to trim.

Ryobi 105r replacement line

Look at the top of the spool. Line up the two triangles/arrows by turning the inner wheel The inner wheel is a little smaller that the diameter of the spool and has grip lines scored around it. Just below those arrows, on the side of the spool there is a hole where the line would come out of. Thread the line into that hole until it comes out through a hole on the top of the spool. Then bend the end of that line over and stick it in the little hole next to the hole it came through. That will lock it in place. Pull on the other end of the line to tighten it. Now turn that inner wheel and the line will wrap around on the inside of the spool. When it stops and you can't turn it anymore, it's full. Cut the line off about 10 inches or so outside of the spool.
